Weekly courses for intermediate/advanced

These courses are meant for those of you who already have some prior experience of yoga, and want to go deeper. This is the also the level where those who have attended intensive 10-day Summer courses come to help maintain their round-the-year sadhana.

Try-out session

These events are open for all, and free of charge. No previous knowledge is assumed, but you will be able to enjoy the yoga also if you have previous experience. Generally, my kind of yoga is probably most enjoyable if you do have previous experience of yoga, and want to go deeper. Or if you have experience of meditation, and want to try yoga.

Weekly courses for beginners/improvers

On these courses we use some approximately 8 occassions to learn and enjoy the basics of a complete yoga-programme: including physical exercises, breething exercises and relaxation/meditation. The cost is 500-800 kronor, depending on your own view of how much you are able to pay. The money should be paid in advance to the bank account given in your sign-up email, or cash upon the first occassion. The courses will take place in a rather small room, with only space for max 8 participants; this is to ensure that I really have time to see all students. The location is situated in Rekrytgatan 4, on the third floor.

What level is for you?

The beginner/intermediate level assumes no prior knowledge, even though you are welcome to and will benefit from this level also if you have some yoga experience from before. In fact, many people who try yoga for the first time, prefer more dynamic yoga than the one I teach. Therefore, it is often after some previous experience that the more deep-going kind of yoga, where you lie for longer time-periods in each pose and where everything aims for the meditation in the end, becomes something you want. In other words, already at the beginner/improver level, we will do full programmes including both physical exercises, breathing exercises, and relaxation and meditation. However, on the introductory course we will primarily focus on the easier (smaller and dynamic) exercises, and we will not stay for very long in the stretching poses, and similarly not sit particularly long during the meditations.

At the intermediate/advanced level you should have done some kind of yoga from before, but it does not have to have been from my tradition. You should, most importantly, have started to enjoy lying still in yoga poses so that you can stay in them for at least 3-5 minutes, and be interested in going deeper from this level. You should also be somewhat familiar and comfortable with breathing exercises, and be eager to learn more about meditation. At all levels, each pose is described in detail each time, so it is therefore not a major problem that you have attended and learned variations of poses in other classes.
